BBG - Day Nine

It was a cooler morning this morning which made it much more enjoyable to workout! I woke up around 7 and got changed straight away. Did my workout, then made a juice and headed to the shops. I bought a few new Lorna Jane items and even got a free 2016 LJ Diary! I also bought 3 dresses that were on sale, I thought the total would come to $150 but it ended up being $69!!! I checked the receipt and the discounts had been discounted. Very exciting!



My exercise for today:

Kayla's Arms and Abs Workout. It was hard but not as hard as it was before, I was able to do the triceps dips easier but the 2nd round of commandos was still hell.

My food for today:

Breakfast
Green juice with 1 pear, 3 baby cucumbers, 3 celery sticks which were put through the juicer. Then I blended that with a couple of handfuls of spinach in the NutriBullet. This kept me full and energised all morning.



Lunch 1
Green smoothie with a frozen banana, 4 strawberries, some mango, pineapple juice, 2 handfuls of spinach and coconut water.




Lunch 2
"Healthy pizza". I used a whole grain wrap as the base, basil paste lightly spread, sliced mushrooms, diced tomatoes, shaved ham, 1/8 avocado, red onion, small sprinkle of cheddar cheese, small sprinkle of Parmesan cheese to top, chilli flakes.



Side salad with red onion, tomato, 1/8 avocado, baby cucumber, apple cider vinegar, olive oil/garlic dressing


Dinner
Chicken stir fry. I used 100 grams chicken, 120 grams broccoli, 60 grams brown rice and seasoned with chilli paste, garlic paste, a splash of soy sauce, salt and pepper. It was delicious!



Snacks
5 mini bliss balls - I made these yesterday, then did a chocolate peanut butter lot today. So yum!!

BBG - Day Eight

Today is the beginning of BBG Week 2! I'm excited to start fresh this week but disappointed that it's still going to be hot, argh! This week I'm going to try and incorporate juices to my diet. I watched the documentary 'Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead' and was really inspired to start drinking veggie and fruit juices. I'll need to get a hold of some glass jars to store them though. I also made an attempt at making my own energy balls...I jncluded 1 cup oats, 1/2 cup cashews, 1/2 cup walnuts, 1/2 cup almonds, 1/2 cup hazelnuts, 1/4 cup pepitas, 2 tbsp soaked chia seeds, 1 tsp dried goji berries, 1 tsp dried cranberries, 1 tbsp peanut butter, 1/4 cup agave syrup, 1/2 cup shredded coconut. I processed them all up and let them cool in the fridge before rolling them into balls.

My exercise for today:

I started strong with Kayla's legs workout and followed it up with 30 mins of LISS on the cross trainer.

My food for today:

Breakfast 1
Green smoothie with mango, pineapple, frozen banana, spinach and coconut water

Breakfast 2
Nut and Seed Heaven ball and a green juice from my local coffee shop

Lunch
Apple, carrot and spinach juice with cinnamon, nutmeg and turmeric
3 crackers with 3 teaspoons cottage cheese, tomato slices and avocado. Topped with chilli flakes, pepper and salt.

 




Dinner
Chicken and salad wrap with light mayonnaise

Snacks
White peach
Small bowl of cherries and grapes

BBG - Day Seven

I was soooo tired when I woke up this morning; must be all that partying last night! I didn't do any exercise because I had to hightail it to the Hopman Cup to watch Australia vs Germany. We were in a corporate box so once again, I was spoilt with lots of food and drink!

My exercise for today:
None!

My food for today:

Breakfast and Lunch: this was all in the corporate box over about 6 hours...
Coffee
Smoothie shot
A couple of grapes, piece of pineapple, strawberry slice
2 pieces of chicken sushi
Egg sandwich x 2 triangles
Ham finger sandwich
Party pie
Quesadilla strip with a teaspoon of guacamole and sour cream
3 crackers with cheese, 2 dried apricots
Mini passionfruit tart
3 glasses of champagne
Water

Dinner: I made zucchini pesto pasta which was light, yet filling
Zucchini grated into noodles
80grams cooked chicken
Half a tomato
2 teaspoons cottage cheese
Basil
Teaspoon of pine nuts
Chilli flakes
A sprinkle of Parmesan to top

BBG - Day Six

I slept in again today but only till 8.45 so I was able to get my exercise in before it got too hot...it's meant to be another scorcher today...37!!

My exercise got today:

Kayla's Full Body workout...this included double lots of step ups...the final round was hard but I was glad I got through everything and then another half before my time was up.

My food for today:

Breakfast
Green smoothie with spinach, pineapple, mango, a very ripe banana, a few frozen grapes and coconut water...this was soooo delicious!
3 crackers with cottage cheese, ham and tomato

Lunch
Roast beef with vegetables and onion gravy! Served on a side plate so I didn't over indulge..well, not too much! 



Dinner

We had a Hopman Cup cocktail party so I ate a few different things...mini Reuben sandwiches, goats curd tart, small serve of seafood paella, mini pork bun, mini pavlova. AAANNDD, a fair bit of champagne! It was a fun night 😊

BBG - Day Five

I slept in till 11am this morning! So much for a great start to the new year. I managed to eat pretty well though, back to exercise tomorrow!!

Breakfast
Watermelon juice
2 pieces of rye toast, one with peanut butter and one with light Philly cream cheese and tomato

Fruit salad

Dinner
"Healthy" pizza - I went half/ half with the toppings so it was like eating 2 pizzas

BBG - Day Four

After a stressful three hours of visiting various post offices trying to get a working with children check, I finally got to eat breakfast. What is with a special holiday for post offices on New Years Eve?! Thankfully there are some hard working post officer peeps who helped me out. Now I will be celebrating New Years tonight with a relieved mind and a cold bottle of bubbly!

My exercise for today:
Technically none! But I did a lot of stressing and running around this morning which got my heart rate up!

My food for today:

Breakfast
4 crackers with light Philly cheese and tomato
Green smoothie



Lunch
"Healthy" fried rice leftovers

Dinner
Toasted bacon, cheese and tomato sandwich

Snacks
Homemade sweet and salty popcorn
Fruit salad
Champagne!

BBG - Day Three

My exercise for today:

I met a friend for breakfast this morning so didn't do my early morning workout. This worried me. I had a scary feeling that I was already falling off the wagon...but I made a promise to myself that I was still work out later in the day...I ended up doing 30 mins of LISS on the cross trainer at 9:30pm - better late than never! Technically my LISS for the week is done now but I'm going to aim to continue to do 30 mins each day.

My food for today:

Breakfast
I had a green smoothie before leaving home. Spinach, strawberries, mango, pineapple and coconut water.
At the cafe I had poached eggs on toast, my friend and I shared a side of bacon and avocado so I had one piece of bacon and a quarter of an avocado. This filled me up for hours!



Lunch
Nothing as I was still full!

Dinner
Chicken salad with fried rice. I used the leftover chicken from last nights skewers and it was cooked on the grill. I cooked up some brown rice and mixed in snow peas, broccoli, mushroom, cauliflower and egg to make "healthy" fried rice. This was served on a side plate rather than a dinner plate and I felt full afterwards.



Snacks
2 crackers with light Philly cheese spread and tomato
Coconut yoghurt with cherries
Skinny flat white

So proud I haven't touched any chocolate, junk or sweets for 3 days!
