My exercise for today:
I met a friend for breakfast this morning so didn't do my early morning workout. This worried me. I had a scary feeling that I was already falling off the wagon...but I made a promise to myself that I was still work out later in the day...I ended up doing 30 mins of LISS on the cross trainer at 9:30pm - better late than never! Technically my LISS for the week is done now but I'm going to aim to continue to do 30 mins each day.
My food for today:
Breakfast
I had a green smoothie before leaving home. Spinach, strawberries, mango, pineapple and coconut water.
At the cafe I had poached eggs on toast, my friend and I shared a side of bacon and avocado so I had one piece of bacon and a quarter of an avocado. This filled me up for hours!
Lunch
Nothing as I was still full!
Dinner
Chicken salad with fried rice. I used the leftover chicken from last nights skewers and it was cooked on the grill. I cooked up some brown rice and mixed in snow peas, broccoli, mushroom, cauliflower and egg to make "healthy" fried rice. This was served on a side plate rather than a dinner plate and I felt full afterwards.
Snacks
2 crackers with light Philly cheese spread and tomato
Coconut yoghurt with cherries
Skinny flat white
So proud I haven't touched any chocolate, junk or sweets for 3 days!

BBG - Day Two
I woke up feeling excited this morning and couldn't figure out why...then I remembered it was arms and abs day...and I was happy about it! What the?!
Unfortunately my right ankle was sore...I rolled it a couple of weeks ago at work and didn't think anymore about it, I think I must have niggled it yesterday. Thankfully, once I got moving, it started to feel a bit better.
My exercise for today:
I started my day at about 6:45am. Got dressed, fed the pets, watered the plants and then began Kayla's Arms and Abs. Those lay down push-ups are brutal. I also hate tricep dips, I must have zero muscles there. I was glad to finish but wasn't as exhausted as yesterday. I followed that with 30 mins LISS on my cross trainer. It was starting to get hot again so I was very glad to finish. It's meant to be 37 today!
My food for today:
Breakfast
Green smoothie with spinach, orange (it was a bit dry so didnt put much in), pineapple, few bits of frozen mango, strawberries and melon. Topped it up with coconut water. It was a big serve so I only had half.
I made "protein mousse" which I was supposed to have with muesli but the mousse was a bit intense so I had quinoa and buckwheat cereal with skim milk and a tablespoon of the mousse with a drizzle of honey. Peanut butter mixed with the mousse would make a good dip for apple slices.

Lunch
Tuna, egg, feta, tomato and spinach wrap...I added pepper and chilli flakes too. It was delicious!
Dinner
Chicken, onion and capsicum skewers and spinach, tomato, snow pea, avocado and feta salad. Love those skewers so much! I use the leftovers in a stir fry.
Snacks
Cherries and coconut yoghurt
Apple and peanut butter dip

BBG - Day One
It's been a couple of months of starting and stopping my new Kayla Itsines fitness routine...I hope today was my very last Day One! I'm so tired of feeling like a failure, and it's time for me to make a real change. I heard a quote from a former Biggest Loser contestant, that said its not about being motivated, it's about having a routine. That really stuck with me and I believe that is the mindset I need in order to achieve my goals.
So...
My exercise for today:
I started my day at 6:30am, did Kayla's Legs and Cardio (it was 41 here today and it was already so hot early in the day!!) The weighted step ups were killer.
I followed that with 30 mins of LISS on the cross trainer.
Then...I died!! But, amazingly after having a shower, I felt good!
My food for today:
Breakfast
1 piece of rye toast
1 poached egg
1 tbsp light cream cheese
Tomato slices
Lunch
2 pieces rye bread
Sliced sausage (post Christmas leftovers, naughty I know)
Tomato
Light cheese slice
I tsp BBQ sauce
Dinner
Steak
Brown rice
Broccoli
Asparagus
Peas
Snacks
Grapes and cherries
Spinach, pineapple, mango, banana smoothie
Here's hoping tomorrow is another step in the right direction! I will take photos of my meals as well.
